By Air: Bangkok has two airports and is very well connected with various other local and international airports. The two airports in the city are the Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Don Mueang Airport located at a distance of 25 km and 24 km respectively. The Suvarnabhumi Airport is most popular as this is where most of the domestic and foreign airlines operate. Once here, you can easily reach downtown Bangkok by taxi, bus, or the high-speed train service here known as Airport Rail Link.
By Road: Bangkok is extremely well connected by efficient and frequent bus services not only with other parts of Thailand like Pattaya, Krabi, Phuket, and Koh Samui, but also with its neighboring countries. The three main bus terminals in Bangkok which operate the majority of buses and where you can directly book your bus tickets are- the Northern Bus Terminal, also known as Mo Chit, the Eastern Bus Terminal, also known as Ekkamai, and the Southern Bus Terminal, also known as Sai Tai.
By Train: You can easily travel to Bangkok from the rest of the country or from neighboring countries like Laos, Malaysia, and Cambodia, by train. They will bring you to the capital city’s main railway station, the Hua Lamphong Railway Station. If you want to travel to or from nearby local areas you can use the Thonburi Train Station.
